Nothing But The Answer

   Within the first few chapters of the Book of Acts, we see where God used a few people known as weak wonderers, to be weapons of war, and turn the whole known world upside down. No generation of the Church has ever effected their generation around them any greater than the first generation Church did theirs. What is so amazing is the fact that, they didn’t have such great tools of evangelism as we now have. Beloved, in all honesty the Church today should be even more powerful than the Book of Acts Church. We have so many avenues of getting the lost the true Life of Christ, but yet, look at the Church today, most of the Church has became too much like the world to even be known as the Church any longer. So we are not greater than the first generation Church, but more as the world the first generation Church went to save from a hell. Have you ever stopped to think, why did these wimps, (that God made warriors) turn the world upside down, and why are we, (with greater abilities than they ever had) only holding a weak light to what they did? Well, I have asked myself this many times, and I always come to the same conclusion. The reason the first generation Church was so great, is simply because they knew nothing, but the Answer. Always when something great is born, the next generation following, either does one of two things different from the first. They either raise the bar to the next level, therefore making the great thing even greater. Or they lower themselves from the previous, therefore making a great thing a little weaker. Well I can tell you, somewhere, somehow, somebody lowered the standard. This happened by someone adopting something other than the true Answer. You ask, “what is the Answer?” The Answer, is Christ Jesus. He is the Answer to every situation. They chose to have nothing but the Answer.

   Take a look at just one of the times they gave the Answer, and the Answer made Himself alive to the dead. In Acts, 3:1-16, “Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God: And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

   O how wonderful! See, beloved, they chose to know Christ as the Only Answer, to Every Situation. Today’s Church has a seminar for everything, but Christ is the Only True Answer. Although seminars are okay, we have devastated Gods heart, while we so let them overpower the true Answer. Hear me now, beloved, we must put all else aside, and be as the first generation Church, and know nothing but Christ as the Answer to all. Seminars wont do it! Rehabs wont do it! Self help books wont do it! Retreats wont do it! He is the Answer!

   Sickness? He is the Answer! Broken Life? He is the Answer! Divorce? He is the Answer! Confusion? He is the Answer! Financial Troubles? He is the Answer! Fear? He is the Answer! Loneliness? He is the Answer! Grieving Heart? He is the Answer! Lost Loved Ones? He is the Answer! Binding Sin? He is the Answer! MY FRIEND, I’M TELLING YOU, WHATEVER YOUR NEED, HE IS THE ANSWER! IN EVERYTHING…. CHRIST IS THE TRUE ANSWER!!!!!! Amen! We must come back to this! We must come back to the place where Christ is the only Answer again in the Church. And when we make Him the Only Answer in the Church again, then this world will come to realize, Christ is the Only Answer for all. Christ must be all, or all is totally lost. Let us be as the first generation Church one last time, and choose to know, and let live through our weak lives… nothing but the Answer.
