Our Lord Cometh

We have heard the coming of the Lord message all our life in church. But somehow we have grown cold and deaf to its truths, and seriousness! Our Lord will soon come. And He is only coming for His Holy Bride. Though much of the “Modern Church” has backslid and is no longer part of the bride, there will be a remnant. A remnant is a survivor of a crises, that’s small in number, but mighty in Gods strength. That just simply means there is going to be a lot of believers who are to in love with this world, and cannot resist the warfare of the flesh and Satan. They are so weighted down with the fleshly things of this earth, that they wont make it off the ground. But yet they call themselves born again believers, while treading underfoot the blood of Christ, and making a mockery of His Saving and Delivering Grace.

Paul gives a warning to the church in 1 Corinthians 16:22, If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha. One commentary writer says the first half of this verse like this, “in love enough to kiss Him.” This is more than just a friendship love Paul is writing of. This is the love of a companion. In order for us to even be close enough to the Lord to kiss Him means we have to be totally dead to this world. He will not kiss but only that which is totally His. He is not looking for a part-time lover… He is looking for a bride. Those that have been cleansed from their tramping ways. Those who will look temptation right in the face and say “GET THEE BEHIND ME!!” even when it hurts their natural mans wants. “NO!! I am the Bride of another greater than flesh! And I will not risk the love of my soon coming Groom for a fling of the flesh!!! I refuse to stoop to any level of compromise! I know there all doing it, but I will not. I want to be seen Pure and Holy for the one that loves me most. I refuse to kiss any other, or even to flirt for a second.” The second part of our verse, “let him be Anathema Maranatha” comes from the Greek, which means to let him be accursed, for our Lord cometh (or our Lord has come.) So we could easily translate this verse like this, “if any of you are not deep enough in love with the Lord Jesus Christ, to lay aside your tramping ways fully, and kiss only Him, and make Him your only lover, then you will be cursed forever shortly. For our Lord cometh! He is on His way.” Beloved hear me. I speak to myself as much as any. Our Lord Cometh!! If He comes and finds us flirting with the flesh… what then? Now is the time to lay aside our ways of flesh, and clothe ourselves with the uncontaminated dress of the spirit. For He will only come and take away that which is standing in His Purity. Be ready!! Our Lord Cometh.
