Last Night Of Sodom

In the old testament we read of a most tragic story. A story of a city that had become so vexed with flesh and sin, that God would have no other choice but to destroy it. A story where only the righteous was spared. And only those that heard the command, “get out of here!! And don’t look back.” Those that had become so in love with this city had to die. I believe this still anguishes Gods heart today. This horrible story… is that of Sodom.

Sodom was a place of wealth. It had a very comfortable climate. It was the “place to be.” People spent their vacations here. It was a place of parties, and all the trash of this world. Even good people would get caught up in the candy of the eyes… and would trade all good valuable things to live there. And there was a lot of good people… that was just taking it easy in Sodom for awhile. Just making a fast trip. Not knowing… that God was calling them to come out. Think about when God came down. He must have been angry and broken all in the same. I could hear Him say as the fire fell… “I am sorry. I know you was in church last Sunday, but your hear in Sodom tonight. I hate you was here!! But you’ve played around to long!! You’ve waited to late!! This is it!!” I know there was people there that may have been rulers from other cities. Good men and women, who was just in Sodom one night to long. Beloved… I must tell you! We must come fully out of Sodom!! The Lord is coming with Judgment tomorrow!! Time is short!!! You must get it right today!! Come out of Sodom!! Stop playing church!! Stop taking short vacations back to Sodom! Sodom is SIN!! And it is not your friend!! Get it right, beloved!! Don’t be playing in sin… on the last night of Sodom!!
