He Speaks To Us

Hebrews 1:1-2, “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son…”

When someone speaks to us they are saying in action that we are worth their efforts of communication. This is why that when you see someone you don’t really like you don’t just jump in their face and start talking their leg off. But God… speaks to us. That is such an amazing thought! He spoke in many ways and different times through the voice of a prophet, desiring to have fellowship with us His creation. But today He no longer just speaks through the prophets, He speaks through the person of the Son. He tells us “I love you” daily through the gentle breath of the Holy Spirit that we often are to busy to hear. He speaks strength and wellness in our lives, and we never take time to listen. He speaks to us through many faucets of life, but most of the time we are playing religion too much to ever hear His voice. But one sure place He speaks to us is through His written word, the Bible.

“Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son…” Christ came as the Word, and when the Father wills something spoken to us Christ is always what comes forth as that spoken Word. Christ isn’t only just speaking to us but He is the substance of what is being spoken. Beloved, let us not turn our ears away from the Savior, for when we don’t hear God speaking that is what we are doing. Beloved, He speaks to us… I just have two questions… do we listen… and do we speak back. Don’t take it lightly.
