My Battle

This morning I was texting a friend, just asking her for prayer for a situation in my life, when I noticed that I was placing the emphasis all on my efforts. I was speaking to her of “my battle” and how “I don’t know” if “my” methods of victory are correct. As I was writing it out to send, it was just like something said, “there is your battle. Your battle is not the circumstance before you… it is the fact that you are trying to overcome it in yourself. That is your battle.” I then understood that when I make it “my battle” then He cannot make it His, and I will never overcome in myself. My battle is not what lies before me… my battle is letting go so He can make it His. Don’t make it your battle…
