Do Not Touch His Glory & Breaking Through The Darkness

Do Not Touch His Glory

Have you ever just thought about the awesome holiness if God? I am not referring to any set of rules or man made imaginations of Holiness but I am speaking directly of the Source; HIS HOLINESS. If you are trying to make it to Heaven by your set of rules and forcing that into the guise of Holiness then you are simply dead wrong. Do not call clean what is unclean nor make unclean what is clean for your human holiness, as pious as it may seem, is at best still corrupted by you. We are but mere humans, and if we were capable of obtaining a holiness in a certain method of rules then Christ never would have came to our world and died to bring us into His. So, seeing that I can freely say that my form of "holiness" is nothing but a hypocrite mound of flesh playing church dress up and expecting that to glorify Christ. His Holiness, on the other hand, is what we seek and still yet fear. His Holiness killed Ananias and Saphira in Acts 5, because they "lied to the Holy Ghost" thinking God was like a man and wouldn't see their sin. Beloved, they touched His Glory and had to die. I think of Uzzah who in 2 Samuel chapter 6, touched the Ark of God (which is a old testament representation of His Life among the people) to keep it from falling from the cart and God struck Him dead instantly. You cannot soil His Holiness with your human flesh fingering all over Him or you will instantly die to what is left of your Spiritual Life. Holiness is not just a possession God can use but it is who He literally is. Just as He is Love, Righteousness, Peace and everything else we are to obtain in this Christian life. But today I just want to speak of Him in His Holiness. The old testament was clear about the entrance into the small room in the Tabernacle called the Most Holy Place, and by that we know that God never wanted anyone to enter without first being cleansed and without secondly burning the incense. He would strike anyone dead that tried to enter into His Presence without first doing these things. Beloved, the cleansing is a representation of repenting of sin but the incense is a representation of His Grace. The reason God wanted the incense burning was that it may produce a smoke as it were and the human that went it, though he still be flesh was covered with the smoke of incense and God was pleased because He did not have to, nor indeed can, look upon the sinful flesh. Dear people, because He is so Holy He cannot look upon our sinful flesh. Oh, but because He is so Holy He loves us enough to cloak us with Grace that we may be Born Again into His Life which is Holy. I am so thankful that Christ did not come to bring God down to our level, but us up to His. No, we will never be a God but the One True God will be made alive through us! Do not touch His Glory friend.

The Wife's Note: Breaking Through The Darkness

There is a place i have been too and still sometimes have to fight so i wont go back. It is lonely, cold, dry, and just flat out miserable. This place you can visit and no one can even know you are there or gone for that matter. You can still put on a smile and act like everything is fine even though inside...that is definitely not the case. Here in this place is where the enemy seems to think he has you and that he is on the verge of winning. He does some of his best work here...he tries to completely destroy everything that is christ like inside of us and he tries to destroy us as humans also.
This place is called darkness...and oh how terrible it can be. It can come out of nowhere and you be confused on how you got there. When darkness tries to surround you, it can make you feel like everything you do is wrong. You feel like no one hears you. You definitely don't feel that God heres you. It is cold and when i say cold i mean you can grow numb. No emotions, no tears, no love. It is dry and when i say dry i mean you don't feel Christ or even hear him not because he cuts us off or moves but because we move away from him somehow. The devil tries to bring confusion upon us in this place. He tries to make us believe all his lies.I have been here friend, I have neglected spending time with him and it has led me to this place of darkness. If we are not careful as christians we can end up here. No matter how long you have been saved we can all end up here and the only one that can bring you out is Christ and Christ alone.
Even when you don't feel him...Pray. Even when you don't hear him...seek. Like i said in the last devotion he hears you, even in this place of darkness. And let me reassure you HE WILL BRING YOU OUT! Just believe and trust him. Things may be dark and cold right now but the lord will show up just in time! He loves you, he did not save you to leave you. He definitely
did not die on a cross for nothing. He died for you! He will never forsake you. Just keep on going. The darkness wont last much longer.
