The Wife's Note: What's Next?

       This life is full of responsibility whether it be work, school, children, marriage, and so on but what about the biggest responsibility of all? The responsibility of being the Christian we are called to be and allowing Christ to live through us? What about being a light to this dark world? Although we as Christians know we are called to do this sometimes things can get in the way. We know we should pray and spend time with the Lord because how else are we supposed to reach a lost and dieing world if we as Christians do not maintain our relationship with Him like we should? But oh it is sooooo easy to put everything before prayer and time spent with him. But it seems that every time I have ever gotten to the spot of "where did my prayer time even go?" or "how in the world did I even get to where I am at?" I can only blame myself but though I feel dry and empty I still hear that voice speak above it all and say "spend time with me, come pray just come and spend time in my presence". Isn't it amazing how we get so busy sometimes but God still sees us and he still no matter what longs for that special intimate time with us? So next time you hear that voice in your head saying what do I have to do next? Put yourself in check...see if what you are planning to do is interfering with your time with him and if it is...choose to put Him first above anything else.
