Hebrews 12:8 (King James Version)
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
(My View)
Our education from our Heavenly Father is priceless. We must not let even the smallest thing slip from us. For through every scolding, we learn new lessons.
Again the writer is speaking of the chastening from the Father, which is the whole process of training up His child. We must not get angry or hurt at the words that sometime may seem harsh, for the writer speaks with experience and revelation. Just as our Father wishes for us.
(Keep This In Mind)
The achievement of becoming first class is for most a steady lifetime work, and goal. For one mistake can lead them to poverty. We must not let our spiritual character sink back to the slums of poverty. Lets allow the Father to bring us up.
(The Breakdown)
Now if you run this race of life calling yourself a Christian (a Son of God), and you go without the Heavenly Fathers chastening (His act of bringing you to the condition of becoming first class through whatever means necessary), as He has brought upon Christ, and all who are partners with Christ (those who have taken up their cross and follow Him all the way), then you are in agreement with (in the same boat as, are in the same class or group as) a illegitimate child. And you are no Son at all, for you have not been born again, and your father is Satan. You are filled with flesh and trying to mask yourself as a Called Son of God, but the Son does not live in you, so you are not a Son of God.
(Last Thought)
Are you asking yourself “am I truly His Son?” Please don’t just let yourself be deceived. I sure don’t want to be that poor soul that just masked their way through life, just to find out… He does not know me!! How sad!! Please don’t let that be you!! As the old saying goes “no pain… no game.” We must realize that the pain we go through does not mean we have fallen back to the grip of Satan… but we have just escaped him by the Grace of our Father. For He has found us worthy to mold us more into the likeness of His Son.
