The Fullness Of His Presence

As I go, daily along this Christian way, meditating upon Christ and my walk with Him, I often come back to this thought, “Am I living in the fullness of Christ? Am I walking in all the blessings my Heavenly Father wishes to freely give me? Am I really walking in the fullness of joy that comes from living steadfastly in His presence? Or am I living under the means of these blessings awaiting me?”

Everyday that I ask myself this, I always come to the same answer… “I am not walking in all these blessings made available to me so freely.” It is as if I have become satisfied with the blessings I have already received.

Now I don’t write this to say we are to be selfish, and to sound as if I am unsatisfied with what I do have. No! For I am not speaking of mere material blessings. In fact, those are the least of my concerns here. I am speaking of those blessings in the Spirit. The blessings of knowing my Father more intimately, through the Holy Spirit. Those blessings of seeing my Savior, Christ Jesus, in deeper ways. The blessing of having continual fellowship with Him. The blessing of living in the fullness of His wonderful presence continuously.

As the psalmist wrote, in Psalm 16:11, “In thy presence is fullness of joy.” I believe if we look closely at our lives, we all would have to say, “I believe I am living my life under the blessings. I am not even getting close to living in the total fullness of His presence.”

To experience a continual total fullness of joy, mentioned here in this verse, we must first have a solid walk with the Lord. For His presence is what gives us such great joy. And to increase this fullness, we must simply increase our fellowship with Him.

I pray today, that we all may be led deeper into His presence this day. So we may experience the fullness of His joy, that comes from His beautiful presence.
