Think On This

Psalms 22, is a very prophetic chapter, concerning the death of Christ. It was written under divine order, by King David, at a estimated time of one thousand years before the death of Christ. In throughout this psalm, we see a very detailed picture of what was to be going through the mind, and thoughts of Christ. We see the great pain of heart, painted here in this psalm, as found nowhere else in scripture. But then at the very end, with the last two verses, we find a prophetic word, that would change our very lives, forever. This word being, Psalms 22:30-31, “A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.”

The word seed, here means, “a people, or race.” Now we must understand that this group of people mentioned, will be serving “Him”, being none other than Christ Jesus. And they shall take upon themselves, the name of God, through Christ. Therefore making them grafted into the family of God, and making them a joint family together with the house of Israel.

I cannot help but feel joy in my heart as I write these very words. This is a prophetic word, concerning you and I!! We are living in this prophecy at this very moment, and have been since the death of Christ. People from all nations, and all types. Races of many, from all over the earth, that have taken on the name of Christ, and are learning Him, and have made Him Lord, are molded together, forming one unique generation of God Almighty.

Verse 31, “they shall come”, who? Me and you, friend! And the innumerable amount of others that has come to know Christ over the past two thousand years before us, and those that will be here after us. It goes on to say, “and shall declare His righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that He hath done this”. This simply means, those that know Christ, shall spread the news of how He has come to make us Holy! That He has come, and laid down His life, so we can be made righteous through Him! And that He lives again, for He arose on the third day, out of the grave. Also that, He will save any soul that asks Him. And this story will never die, for it will be told to future earthly generations, until He comes the second time. Simply put, the truth of “It Is Finished”… will last for eternity.

Beloved, think on this! We are these very people spoken of. Now, over three thousand years after this prophetic chapter was written, we are living in the very fulfillment of it. Is this not exciting?! I am thrilled in my heart, to see the almighty works of God. And to know, that He is still holding fast every word He promised. Why do we not trust Him more fully?… think on this.
