He Makes Us His Son

Romans 8:14, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

This verse has often puzzled people before. I truly had no problem with it until, I began to wonder to myself, how can a girl really be called a son of God? Then one day, it was made real to me. So ladies, yes, you are a son of God. Let me explain deeper.

It is very simple really, when we have the Born Again experience, (which is only made possible through the convincing, and the convicting of sin, produced by the Holy Spirit. Which is the literal breath of God, blown upon us, and opening our eyes to see the truth of Christ, therefore allowing us to have the opportunity to follow Christ, and not flesh.) we are made into the likeness of Christ (again, referencing to Hebrews 2:11). So through this oneness with Him, we are made as He is, (both progressively in areas, and instantaneously in other areas). So through this we realize, He is the Son of God, and when we ask Him to make His abode in our wretched earthly bodies, we are therefore made also with Him, a Son of God. Simply put, when God the Father looks at us, he no longer sees us as we are earthly known. He sees His Son in us, and flesh made dead. So, it is of great honor to be called a Son of God!! Never take it lightly. For this is one of the greatest compliments ever given to mankind, to be a Son of God.
