How He Is Made Known

1 Corinthians 2:9-10, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”

In the previous writing, I explained how that, God Almighty has revealed to us, His very own self, by giving us such a gift as the Holy Ghost. We learned that it was before written that, there was something God had prepared for all the people that love Him, and that this something was not Heaven, as most make the verse to appear, but is literally the giving the gift of His total character, nature, and very innermost being, through the sending of God the Holy Ghost.

Today, I want to deal with how I learned this simple, but yet great truth. For the briefness of the last writing I didn’t go into great detail, but by the end of this we should understand more clearly.

As I said before, God has given us the gift of Himself. “Why would He do this” you ask? Simply, because He wants us to know Him fully. He desires to allow us to live in His total greatness, even while on earth. You may think, “How do you know that the giving of the Holy Ghost is what is meant by this verse?” well, let me explain further. By reading the following verse, 2:11, “For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.” Now, this verse is in other words saying to us, “nobody truly knows, what a man is really thinking, or what is the total desire, and nature of him, but only that man Himself.” No one can really know what your feelings are inside, but you. Then the writer goes on to say, “it is the same with God! No one can know the total inside feelings of God, or know His total character and nature. No one, other than His very own Spirit.” Then the writer says these words that change our lives forever, 2:12, “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” Grasp this, beloved!! The writer is in essence saying, “When we are filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, we then take upon us, not the spirit of the world, but we have given to us literally, the total exact nature of God Almighty!! So in this giving to us of Himself, we are made to know Him in His completeness!! We are made to know, “the hidden things” of Him. The parts that no one ever before Pentecost could have known!” Through the giving of the Holy Ghost, is how God Almighty is made known to us. At the time of this writing I have not yet received the blessing of the Holy Ghost, but I do long for Him! And, I will be filled with Him. This very reason, this coming to know God Almighty in His completeness, is so important! This is why we must be filled with the Holy Ghost!! Because, it is only through this Holy Ghost of God, (this total, exact nature, and character of God Almighty) that God Himself is made known to us, in His completeness.
