God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
This is a topic, often left unmentioned by most today. I don’t wish to hurt anyone’s feelings by this writing, but to simply clear up who we really worship. I have a lot of personal friends that really don’t understand the meaning of the Trinity, so friends… this is for you.
While in prayer a few months ago, I was seeking to understand deeper who, and truly what, the Trinity consist’ of. I knew in my heart, but I wanted to be able to explain it to those that asked me. And this is what God gave me.
Take a natural man, within that man is a mind, heart, and lungs. These are the three major organs of any being. These three do not work without one another. The heart deals with the blood, the lungs deal with oxygen, and these both support the function of the mind. Now the mind keeps the whole body in sync. To use the natural mans terms and compare them to spiritual, God the Son is as the heart. At Calvary, Christ made a way for us to get to God Almighty, through His blood. This is where we all must start, for without the blood, no one can have access to God the Father. Now God the Father is as the mind. He is made supreme, but do note, they are not in competition one with another. But God the Father is in command, He is the one that tells the body to move. God the Holy Ghost, (also known as God the Holy Spirit) is the lungs. If you look up the word spirit, you find that it comes from the Latin word spiritus, which literally means “breath”, but do note, also it means "soul, courage, vigor (or force)".
Now think upon this, beloved, God the Father, literally sent His heart to us at Calvary. He knew that we had no hope. So He wrapped His heart in the form of human flesh, and said, “Son… you are the Savior. You are the blood offering, that will cleanse them from all sins”. So the Heart of God was sent to us, therefore giving us the blood. Then, He not only gave us the blood, but on the day of Pentecost sent to us His breath! He set it all up, as a plan, and we clearly see… it is a system of life! If a man has blood, but no oxygen… he is of no good, very long. So now, this is why in John 20 we find Christ giving breath to the disciples right before He left them, and ascended into Heaven. “he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.” 20:22. See, beloved, Christ knew that the blood was already given, but there was need of breath to keep that blood alive within! This is why the gift of the Holy Ghost is so very important for all believers. Without the Holy Ghost, I can tell you that, the blood will not be able to flow very long within us. And then also, on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Ghost came, and filled the house where the seekers was (Acts 2). But take note, when the Holy Ghost came, we read where there was what?… a sound as of a mighty rushing… wind! Again it all points to the need of the breath to support the blood! And by definition, we also see that the word spirit means not only breath, but also soul. This also explains to us the Holy Ghost. The soul of a man is his very nature. Beloved, don’t miss this, the Holy Ghost, is literally the total nature of God Almighty!! We are filled with the total breath of God, and the total complete nature of God!! Again I say, it is critical that we be filled with this Holy Ghost!!
So, God the Father (the mind) God the Son (the heart, the giver of blood) and God the Holy Ghost (the lungs, the breath of, and literal nature and character of God the Father) is three separate beings, making up what we call one Godhead (or one body) known as the Trinity. So, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost, has been given to us, to reveal God Almighty, the Father, to us, and in us. Beloved, this is the Trinity.
