Turn The Light On

John 9:5, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

  Have you ever walked into a dark room, and when you flip on the light, you see bugs running for their life? Why is that? It is because they are bugs, and it is just their nature, as being nasty little creatures, to get away from the light. Now hold on to that thought, and we will bring it back around shortly.

  In the text given above, we find Christ is dealing with a blind man. Now we aren’t talking about a legally blind man, we are talking about a totally blind man. This man has known nothing but darkness. You cant get any darker than being blind. This man is so noticeably blind that, even Jesus’ disciples ask, “who sinned, that this man should be like this?” So, we know that it was very obvious that this man was living life, in total darkness. But, he had found the Light, it just had to be turned on. Christ says, “as long as I am here in this sin driven dark world, I will be the Light that shall expel sins dark hold. For I am the Light of the world.” Then, we read where Christ spit on the ground, and made clay out of the spit and the earth, and touched the mans eyes with the clay. Then He told the man a very strange thing, “go wash in the pool of Siloam.” And the next we read of this man, “He came back seeing!”

  I have said all that, to say this, you, born again believer, are now the vessel in which the Light of the world is seen. Christ is not here in body any longer, but He lives through us. So, we must understand that this great Christ, is to be shining through us just the same as then! My question now is this, why is there so much sin in authority in our church? Now, I am no longer just speaking of the world, but of the church, beloved! And to have to say such words is pathetic!! Who ever heard of a sinning body of believers? That is like trying to say there is a heavenly devil! It doesn’t work! Someone needs to die out to themselves and turn the Light on again! We must let Christ totally live through us, once more! Then we can also be the Light of the world, like all true Christians naturally are. Take note, I said as all true Christians naturally are. If someone would stand up and say, I am tired of sin, and I am ready to live the life of Christ, then we could go to the blind, and say, “this Christ in me, is the Light you need!” But, beloved, we will never be able to say these words, until we repent, and get Christ back in us to shine again.

  The greatest mistake the church has made, is that she has made things easy so she is no longer labeled a fanatic. I will go ahead and tell you, Christ was a fanatic! There is no other way of putting it. He spit on the ground, and rubbed the earth and spit on a blind mans eyes! Who cares if they call you a fanatic, this Christ I read about was, so it is only natural for me to be also, since He is living His life through me.

  Out of this taking it easy, we have became spiritually lax, and let the Life and Light of Christ depart from us. And by so doing, we have produces a whole generation of “Worldly Christians” and to use such a phrase is as blasphemy! There isn’t such a thing as a worldly Christian, that is just a backslidden Church, beloved! Someone turn the Light on!

  Those spiritual bugs has been living in our churches long enough, turn the Light on again, and I promise you those nasty sins will leave! Either they will leave or die. Why? Because sin cant stay where light is! It simply isn’t its nature. And if you don’t believe the church can have such power over sin, then you better read the book of Acts, dear friend.Those people you work with everyday going to hell in a hand basket. Those people you go to school with, killing themselves, and each other, because they have never known Light. Why don’t they know Christ?! It is because we have grown use to the dark! We have no more power over hells grip on anyone! We cant even make it to a prayer meeting, let alone expose the greatest gift ever known to mankind, the only Light this world has! I beg you, beloved! Turn the Light On!! Fast until flesh dies, study until a word from God comes, pray until you are filled, then keep your will subject to His, and just live His life! Someone stand with me, and turn the Light on again! The only thing different from the book of Acts believers is, they had to shine to the world, but we have to shine to the backslidden church also! Let us come to our spiritual senses, and realize we are in the darkest time ever! This world sees nothing but blackness, and only we have access to the Light! We can see the move again! But, we must die to us, let Him shine completely through us again, or else… be counted with the 99.9% of the so called church, that will end up going to hell. Yes, it is that serious! Turn the Light on, beloved! Turn it on! Christ must live! This is no option, this is a command! Do it, or lose this generation to hell, and be lost along with it.
