Let Go

When life is spinning out of control, and you enter into the panic mode jerking the wheel every direction trying to keep from crashing, before you go to far let me give you a small word of advice… let go.


I once heard a story someone was telling to be the truth that, when a pilot of a small aircraft somehow loses control while in air, they will literally began spinning in circles at great speed. Many times the pilot will panic while falling from the sky in a uncontrollable way. Most pilots naturally try grabbing the wheel and holding it steady to somehow try and level the aircraft back out, and keep it from crashing. But this is the worst choice that is made by what I have been told. The best thing to do, is go against all rational human understanding, go against every thought your mind wants you to do, and just let go of the wheel. By doing this, you are allowing the aircraft to stop fighting against itself. Planes are made to fly, and the wind will often level the aircraft naturally on its own.

Whether or not this story is true for pilots, I do not fully know. But I do know this is absolutely true for the spiritual life that is seemingly spinning out of control. Beloved, we are made to fly. Just kill your flesh when it says to take control of your plans again, and go another way that is less difficult. Keep your hands off the wheel. Let Christ have total control, and let the wind of the upper room fill your life and level you out. Listen Sir, listen Ma’am, you are made to fly. Don’t forget that. But Christ wants you to realize He is the real pilot. He will keep you from crashing, although the ground may get very close, just let go of the wheel, and let Christ live through you. I promise you, if you totally let Christ have control, you will never die in a crash. You are made to fly, so let this Holy Ghost be your wind, and let Christ be your pilot. Let Go, and Let God.
