God demands us to come to a place through His Spirit where we live our lives in faith that overcomes environment.
Can you pause and reread that last statement again?
“Do you believe it is possible to live in such a mighty faith place? Are we living in the fullness of such a faith?” is the two questions I asked a dear friend the other day. Her answer was, “I do believe it is possible, and I believe most Christians today are not living in such a place.” Beloved, do you realize the slamming weight of the statement proclaimed in the first sentence of this writing? I am telling you, dear soul, through living our lives in the Spirit of Christ, and through faith that has been only fire proven, we can literally overcome all flesh in our surrounding environment. Christ in us will not only overcome the enemy through us by our surrendering to His life, but will even control the very move of the enemy while he is on our turf. The environment is our surroundings wherever we are. God desires for His life through us to control the total environment and surroundings for His plans and purpose. Do you grasp such a thought?
You don’t believe this? Allow me to show you just one illustration from the word. Christ was in the desert, fasting forty days and nights, when the devil came to Him tempting Him. I would like to point out that, every time the enemy tempted Christ, Christ’s words were not those of just mere rambling. No, in each command, Christ would overcome environment. In each command He would speak words that would cut to the heart of the tempting foe. Beloved, it is through the Spirit and such a faith in Christ that He will overcome through us every obstacle and control our surroundings through our life that we can say, “Get thee behind me Satan” and humbly watch as the enemy scampers off as a harmless whipped dog. Christ desires to control our surrounding environment through us. So let us live in such a place, through faith, by the Holy Spirit.
1 John 5:4, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”
