It Must Be Real

Most of us in today’s Church world confuse the relationship with God for the work of God. This is so very tragic! I know that I have done this very thing in my walk with Christ. “Lord, I do this, and I do that… isn’t that what pleases you?” Beloved, the fact of the matter is, He is only pleased with a relationship. He could care less about our work if the relationship is absent. We have tried to produce the result while skipping the main source of that result. Godly works will flow naturally from a relationship with God. He doesn’t care if we witness to a billion souls for Him if our hearts are not holding a true intimate relationship with Him. See, I have found it is easier to work for God than to die for Him. To have a relationship with this Splendid God always means we have to die. So this is the reason why it is so easy for us to work for God by singing a song, or telling someone that Jesus loves them, but not to labor in prayer until we die. Beloved, if we don’t love to read His word daily, and we don’t love to find our place in prayer, we are living a life that is stuck in religion… not a Life-filled relationship. God doesn’t care how many church services we attend each year, if there is no daily relationship we are simply flattering the heart with thoughts of holiness but never moving “from glory to glory” with Him. It must be real! …It must be a relationship!
