Let God

Many times we get someone that is truly in love with “The Life” (Christ Jesus), and we being older in Christ than them, try and bring them to greater perfection of Holiness. Beloved, I know that they must be provoked to the Word, but don’t ever push the rules of righteousness on anyone. You must understand that the reason they have not come to this deeper Holiness yet is simply because Christ is still being formed in them. Yes they will come to the same Holiness as you, and both of you should continually progress in Holiness, but most likely not on the same speed of time. The whole working of sanctification is to bring our lives to death of flesh so He (Who Is Holy and Wholly God) may be made visible through our bodies, His temple. Do realize that you cannot work the death needed in this matter either in your life nor the lives of those you love. It is ALL God! Instead of seeing the Holiness which comes in the outward appearance of a believer (which will indeed come), see the shortcomings of total true Holiness in your own life. It is true that death to self is what brings Holiness but it is also true that spiritual death is produced by the carnal mind that is a enemy of God. So we are speaking of two deaths, you can either die to the carnal mind by the Holy Spirit, or die by the works of the carnal mind to the works of the Holy Spirit. A death to the carnal mind that works Holiness produced only by the Holy Spirit, and the death of the Spirit that is Holiness that is produced by the carnal mind. Death of the Spirit of Holiness will always be produced by the mind of carnality. Death isn’t in a short skirt and low top, (just an example) until the Holy Spirit reveals to that heart is it contrary to the Word and then death sets into the mind that still desires it after the revelation has come. Death isn’t in the bottle of alcohol, it is in the mind that wants to drink it. Death isn’t in the theater it is in the mind that wants to be there. To be carnally minded is death. But, as we walk with God He exposes those things that are contrary to His Life, and when we die to that carnal mind, Holiness will live His Life through us. So understanding that we see the carnal mind is all that keeps anyone from true Holiness. But when we get our carnal mind crucified, the mind of the Holy Spirit will live through us in total Holiness! So you must understand that nobody can work this death to the carnal mind that is needed other than God. So pray, fast, read the Word and let God. Believe His desire to do His will through you, in you and in those you love that truly love Him. Just let God.
