Just Jesus

I love to learn and study about the Redemptive names of God. I love to read how He showed Himself as Jehovah-Jireh… Provider. I love to study and see where He would reveal His awesome Life in every facet as Healer, Comforter, Protector… Everything we need. He would show His mighty wonderworking Power to His beloved people, and a name would always be given for the meaning and description of His nature, and they were to never forget these names at anytime. Well, today I just want to simply say one small thing, it is wonderful to study, and we should study the meaning of the names of God so that we may better understand who He is, but I am so thankful that when I found my place at the altar calling Him to save me a sinner, even though I didn’t know any Redemptive names of this great God… all I had to say was “Jesus!!!! Save me!” and Jehovah-Jireh, Jehovah-Nissi, Jehovah-Shalom… the totality of the God of the Old Testament, every faucet of His Life I now can find in that one small name… Jesus!

When we call on Christ Jesus, we call on “the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” If we need anything… we can find it in Christ. How amazing to know that, studying the names of God is wonderful to better understand His Being… but we can just call on Jesus, and through faith, the blood and the Holy Spirit we have found the Answer for all.
