When The Vision Leaves
I wrote sometime back about being “Conformed To The Vision” and God has really since that time showed Himself to me in a way I have never seen Him. I was in prayer the week after writing that devotion, and the Lord gave me three words that has forever changed my life.
1- Revelation.
We must allow the Holy Spirit to show us Christ as He is. As long as you see Christ as a baby in a manger you will never know Him as Savior of the world. As long as you see Him on the cross you will never see Him at the right hand of the Father as Conqueror of all. We must come to see Him as He is. We must have a Revelation of Him through the Holy Spirit making Him seen to us through the written word. That is step one.
2- Sanctification.
The act of Sanctification is not the work of us becoming Holy, but the act of us dying so He who is Holy can live through us. It deals with death. We must first see Christ, then die to our flesh and everything He is not. This is also a work we must allow the Holy Spirit to work in us.
That leads to the last word the Lord spoke to me. 3- Manifestation.
After we die to our flesh, die to those things He is not, then that leaves our body a lifeless vehicle of expression for Him as the “Revelation” to live in His completeness through us.
Today, I was pondering over these words once more. I have tried to allow God to make them real to and in me, but I remembered the Christ I seen a few months ago and the one I see now. Sometimes we have to face ourselves dead level. Today I do that publicly.
We are to have a revelation, a vision of Christ. If Christ is truly what we are seeing, and we fail to obtain the second step, then our sight of Him will become impaired and blurry. When we allow the things of this life to bog us down to much, when our prayer life becomes a sporadic, when fasting goes weeks and weeks without coming to our mind, when our bible reading is for sermons and not for sweetness with the Savoir… WE MUST FACE OURSELVES! Christ will become invisible to our weak eyes of faith when this occurs. Beloved, I ask you this day to pray for me… that I may once more regain the vision I once had of Him. I still see Him… but over time He will disappear. Beloved, it is when the vision (Christ) is not see with our eyes of faith that we have backslide. I beg you today to regain the vision of Christ! See Him as He is. But don’t stop there… move of to perfection through the working of the Holy Spirit. He is sure to lead you back to the cross so Sanctification may begin, then Manifestation will soon occur. If you have totally lost the vision of who Christ really is, repent. Ask Him to forgive you, then devote yourself to Him once more. Beloved, He loves us so much. He so desires us to allow Him to work this great work of Salvation in and through us. See Him, allow the Spirit to conform you, for when the vision leaves… you are blind, and hell awaits.
