Building The Hedge

We often pray that God would place the hedge of protection around us as He did for Job, and this isn’t a bad prayer to pray throughout the day. Many times I have heard that prayer prayed by great men and women of God in my life. Today, I really just want to point out that we can mumble a prayer for the protection of the hedge of God around us, but that isn’t really what produces His Shielding Life around us. See, we must understand that God was able to build the hedge around Job because Job was a “righteous man” that trusted and placed God first. Beloved, yes God’s Grace will protect us, but we must spiritually build this hedge in Christ by simply being obedient to the Lord. Just will to do His will, and the hedge will become more aware to us through the eye of the Spirit. Even though sometimes there will be moments where we feel as if God has totally forsaken us, faith always rests in knowing He never will leave us. Be encouraged today in your walk with Christ, keep praying, reading, fasting, seeking… you are building the hedge wider and stronger with each prayer.
