Don't Look Down

I may have wrote about this topic before, but one can never write about Christ to much. A wise man of the word would often say that the greatest teacher is repetition, so if I have wrote about this before just know I feel this is what the Lord would have me write today.

Beloved, fear tries to grip my heart even at the time of this writing. I look around at the mass mess this world is in. I hear rumors of tribulation, I hear doctrines of no tribulation. Confusion rides in with an almost overwhelming power. Spiritual heroes are made to look as the corrupt religious system. America is falling around our feet. We are the generation that will see His second coming. Dear ones, I don’t know if you are battling fear… but as I do, I feel the Lord demanding me to stand on the power of the word. I want to share a few verses that are comforting me right now in this moment of spiritual warfare.

Colossians 3:1, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

Matthew 6:13, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Hebrews 12:1-2, “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Beloved, we cannot fear. We must look unto Jesus… keep seeking Him for He is the Kingdom. We must allow Him to be our full life, then whatever happens whenever it happens will not shake our lives although the world around us crumbles. We need not fear if we are dead to our own senses and Hid in the power of Christ. Don’t look down… but look up and stay focused on Christ, for He, our Redemption, is drawing near!
