God Don't Want Your Isaac

As I was setting up my music equipment last night, I was just thinking about Abraham and Isaac. The whole story of Abraham offering Isaac, is a story of obedience and faith. But, as I unrolled cables and set up guitars, I just felt these words in my spirit… “I didn’t want Isaac… I wanted Abraham.”

Beloved, God will bring you to a place where He asks you to lay down a promise. This may be through fasting and praying, or it may be a physical object. If you feel God has given you a gift that brings laughter to your life, and maybe is for the benefit of others, or whatever the case may be, there will most likely be a point in your life where God asks you to lay it down. Dear soul, understand that if God is asking, He will raise it up again if it is of Him. If He doesn’t then you don’t need it in your life anyway, for it must be contrary to His Word. And again, we must understand that God isn’t after our joy and the things He has given us… He is after us ourselves. He has to ask for obedience to prove faith.
