When God Shakes Your Enemy Off

Exodus 14:26-30, “And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them. But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.”

I was reading the passage of the Exodus the other day, just once more seeing the almighty working power of my God when I read these verses. In deeper study I found that verse 27 says that God literally “shook off the Egyptians” into the sea. I began to think about how God promised His people they would be totally delivered from this enemy. Then I began to think of some of the things in my life that sometimes begin to appear to me as the Egyptians did to the people of God. But, God has given a promise to all believers in Him! He will always shake the devil off! You may have to walk through a red sea, but keep trusting God, He will prove Himself Faithful! Beloved, take courage! When God shakes off the enemy that is on your trail, if you will keep walking with Him, you will never see that enemy again! What a promise! Keep trusting! God will shake off your enemy into a sea that was supposed to be your grave.
