Pulling the covers back and swinging my legs out of the bed, the firefight of flesh begins again. The constant battle ever wars within my heart, the war of flesh and Spirit. “Today is either my way… or His.” I think to myself. “With each decision I come across the choice of obedience to Christ or to self. These are the only two options I have. To indulge in my wants, desires and fleshly delights is the counterpart to sin. Losing the presence of God is just not worth the mounds of flesh I can enjoy for the few moments of life I only believe I hold as my own. To live in His Life is the greatest joy imaginable. I refuse to die with the statistics as just one of the indulging ones. I refuse anything less than Christ and that true personal relationship with Him.”
Beloved, let us pay the price this day, going the extra mile to simply bring a smile to the face of Christ… our soon coming Bridegroom. Will you be as the others? Will you be one of those who indulge in self wants?
