(A Metaphor)
“Sometimes I feel our role in society is greatly overlooked X, don’t you?” says the unhappy letter Q
“Well, yeah sometimes.” states letter X. “But I try and be grateful for wherever I am used.”
“But X, we just simply have no need in the Alphabet anymore. I mean, lets face it me and you just do not get used as much as we should. All I ever hear is “A,B,C,D” coming from the toddlers over and over again. Then once they grow up it turns to “I” this and “I” that. Really, I am just sick of “I” truthfully. Wow, such a word hog he is! Maybe I should just turn in my Letter License to the Corporate Alphabet Office and just become one less Letter for people to be bothered with.”
“Q! I know you feel alone and insignificant right now but if you walk away a whole generation will be forced with the odds of utter chaos. You do not even realize the value of your presence. Although we may not be used as much as the other letters we have been created for a very special purpose, and for us to simply walk away out of self-pity is the worst mistake possible. Somewhere we probably have never even been yet is someone who is unknowingly depending on us to stay true just as we always have been. Q, buddy, don’t get discouraged and quit. And hey, never forget who the real “First Letter” is. You hold your spot and be glad in heart to just be who your Creator made you and for what He is doing through you.”
Beloved, do not be downcast in your spirit by feeling you have no need on earth. God made you and saved you for His purpose. And I can guarantee it was not for you to sit and feel sorry for yourself, but to hear His directions and be His vessel in which He can express Himself through. Realize, dear soul, if you walk away from God somebody will die lost because of your lack of being His Life. Let us be grateful for where He has placed us and let us resign to be His expression of Life to the fullest of our ability today.
