A Metaphor
“Hello! My name is Mr. Ring. I guess you know what your name is.” He says with a playful smile. I always enjoy talking to Mr. Ring because He is a living example of True Love. He shines and glistens with beautiful arrangements most different than any other ring. It is like the more He is worn over the years the more beautiful He becomes. He often has told me one purpose behind His being here is for a sealing of eternal relationship. “I am a gift given to you from the Most High God, for He desires to show the world that you and Him are in a relationship that will last forever.” He happily states. “I am a sign of commitment forever. You placed me on your finger as an engagement gift from Christ the day you came to Calvary and took His hand for a Wedding that will soon be. By wearing Me, you have promised that all other old relationships are forgotten and have no meaning to your heart any longer. I love to be shown to the world as a gift from your Lover. You call me Mr. Ring, for this is in a way who I am, but truthfully I go by the name Holy Spirit more frequently.”
Beloved, we are sealed with the Holy Ghost when we ask Christ into our hearts. For He is the One who places the blood of Jesus over us and begins the work of Christ living through us. There does come a point where we must move on to being baptized in the Holy Spirit, but never minimize the first giving of the Spirit when we become Born Again. Let His Life show as a Ring that has sealed the Wedding to be with Christ and you. He is a sign of our Eternal Relationship with our Beloved.
