There’s Not An “App” For That & The Wife’s Note: Jesus Loves Me, This I Love

There’s Not An “App” For That
In this wonderful technological generation we find ourselves in it becomes so common for us to want to have everything on the spot. We often began to skip past the depth of the love of Christ and neglectfully maintain an “on the go” relationship with Christ. What once was only obtained by days of agony and seeking in the Spiritual realm is swiftly pushed aside now for it is not convenient to be devoted to such drastic extremes. We say we desire to see Him in all of His Glory yet we give Him our spare time as a dog receives the scrap leftovers. Beloved, I am not at all being the voice of criticism for I too am mere human but I do preach this message to myself now. To know the fullest expression of His love in the momentous manner He is we will have to set ourselves once more to seeking Him first and coming to grip with the reality of who He is. We should work and provide for our family but never placing our work before our Savior. And so it should be with every other blessing in our life. It must be Him First! There’s not an “app” for that... it’s just doing it.
The Wife’s Note: Jesus Loves Me, This I Love
Driving to church last night I looked over to see a church sign that read “Jesus Loves Me, This I Love.”
In the last devotional I talked about underestimating his love for us. This sign made me think how he loves us more than we can comprehend but, do we Love Him with all we have in return? It is sad but, most of the time I think definitely not. He would lay down his life, sacrifice it all but, what do we do? Will we die for him, lay down our life for him, sacrifice it all for him? I am not just talking about physically giving our life but, more so spiritually. I’ve heard my husband say it time and time again “we must die out so that he can live through us.” If we can just get our selfish ways out of the picture and start worrying more about what he wants...friend you and I would be a lot better off. Give your life to him. After all he gave his life for you! Jesus Loves Me, This I Love!
