It's Going To Rain

1 Kings 18:42-44, “And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not. ”

Jumping right to the point, here in these verses we have a mighty representation, of what God is wanting to do with the church today. I feel this is, as a prophetic message to us, the New Covenant, end-time church.

Let us look closer at what we have here in these verses. 1- a sea, 2- a little cloud, 3- the number 7, 4- The Prophet Elijah, 5- King Ahab. Upon study, I found, these are all representations of something, I believe to be significant for us today. In order for the briefness of this writing, I will be simple and direct. I believe the sea to be as representation of a multitude of nations of people, and people of different tongue. The hand that is formed and seen coming up out of the sea of people, is as the 5 fold ministry of God’s hand. This is found in, Ephesians 4:11, “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers.” Now, since the cloud is little, this simply means, that though the sea of people be huge, there will only be a remnant of people that is truly in the 5 fold ministry of God. Only few will truly have God’s Glory. Take note… we as Christians are all called somewhere within the 5 fold ministry. And a remnant, as Brother B. H. Clendennen said it, “is a survivor of a crises.” That crises is found in the previous chapters of 1 Kings. It is a famine. But God always provided for the men and women that loved, and were obedient to Him. So don’t worry, just be found living totally dependent upon Him. Now, the number 7 is always found as a representation of God’s number of perfection. So in other words, God is going to do this, all at His timing. And don’t fret… He has perfecting timing. The next thing we find is the Prophet Elijah. He is at first found praying. Spiritual rain is only produced when a man is found humbled before God. And next we find King Ahab. He is a direct representation of a sin-sick government, filled with the spirit of the Anti-Christ. Do understand that the economy of this time must have been at almost a all-time low, as a result of the famine found in the previous chapters.

You say, “what are you trying to say Buddy?” I am simply saying, beloved, by looking around me at the times right now, I cant help but feel in my heart, something is about to happen. I feel to say, as the Prophet, “there is a sound of abundance of rain!!” verse 41. So don’t worry about the famine of God’s presence in the land today! And don’t be concerned with the present economic crises going on around us, produced by the famine! For there will be a remnant!! And all the world will once again see… God’s Glory rain upon the earth!! So be found in that remnant! For that is whom, He will reign through, and rain upon.
