Hide Me

   One of the prayers of my heart, since walking with this great Christ, has become one very short, and very simple, but very much needed. It has become, “Lord, hide me behind the cross.” This is a prayer I believe all true Christians utter at sometime in their life. I pray that this is your daily prayer also.

   We must realize, our life, in itself, will lead no one to Christ. But the life of Christ through us, can change the world. We must hide behind the message of the cross, so this generation, and lost world can see nothing, but what He did for sinners such as we was. The cross is a sign of death, but out of the death of such a great Holy Offering as Christ, we are made to live. So it is as only a reasonable service for us to hide ourselves behind the symbol death to self, and life through Him, to this whole world. Do note, I do realize many men has died upon a cross, and their death was of no avail to any sinner. So the symbol of the cross in itself is as rubbish, if it had not been the place where I found redemption by the blood of Christ. So I speak not of hiding behind just any cross, but of the message of the cross of Christ. For by presenting His way of salvation to the lost world around us, it will only be fully obtained by being dead to self, and completely hid behind this message of the cross of Christ.

   Prayer-   Father, in the name of your Son Jesus, …hide me once again behind the cross, that my life may present nothing but who you are, and what you have done for this whole world, at Calvary through the cross your Son died upon. Live, speak, be yourself through me, and present the only true hope filled message of yourself, through this life I have given to you. Use my humble shell of a body, to draw many desperate sinners to the foot of the cross. Let my life, be yours, so your life, can be mine. Covered in the blood will I stay, if from behind the cross, I never do stray. In the name of Jesus, Amen
