How long has it been since you have had a fresh breath of God in your life? Beloved, we must long for a refreshing of the Holy Spirit (the Breath of God), in our lives each day. Do we really want this? Or are we satisfied with the normal experience, (saved, sanctified, and Holy Ghost filled)? Do we really make an effort to have a deeper walk with God each day? Why are we so comfortable with living in the “norm” so to speak, when we have access to the extraordinary? Do we really not realize that, we have the power as born again believers, to enter deeper into the Glory of God Almighty, daily?! Beloved, we must understand, we can have more of Him than we can naturally even desire! Wow! Think about that statement! I don’t know about you, but I desire a lot of Him! But think, beloved, we can have more! We can know Him deeper! We can be closer to Him! We can become more like Him!! How amazing! But we first have to get tired of living in the norm!! There is no such thing as a “normal” Christian. We are all called deeper. So we must get tired of the normal life with God, and press into the deeper walk!! We get so satisfied with just going to church, and getting our once or twice a week blessings, but there is more than the norm, and we are all called deeper.
Listen to this promise for all those that get tired of living in the norm, and decide to move deeper. James 4:8, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.”
What a promise, beloved! The closer you come to God… the closer He will move to you! But note… you have to move first! God will not just come and sweep you off your feet. You have to show Him you want Him… by moving near Him, and showing Him you do love Him, and love living in His extraordinary greatness. Imaging being so close to God that you fill His heartbeat, you can hear Him whisper, “I love you”. Beloved, hear me! Get out of the norm!!… and start living in the extraordinary! For that’s what God is.
