1 Corinthians 6:15-17, “Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? Know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? For two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.”
Beloved, we must stop playing with sin. We must stop playing with backsliding as if God is going to allow us to have Him on our terms. Christ never died for us to love Him on our own terms; He died that our will may be conformed to His will. To live outside of this union with Christ, out of this place where His will, ways, wants and desires are ours, is to be living in a very dangerous position. It is the same thing as living in direct disobedience to His word. That is simply called S.I.N. -sin!! As we know our “bodies are the members of Christ” when we become born again, so by allowing sin to come in within any way, shape or form, is to try an produce a “Spiritual Prostitute” or a “Carnal Christian” out of a blood bought Son of God. We are born into Christ when we become born again. The miracle isn’t simply that we are just reborn and sin is done away with, but more so that our life is born into the literal life of God’s Eternal Son, Jesus Christ, and we take upon us His nature! So when we allow sin to go unhampered within our lives, we being the nature, life and body of Christ, are in essence making this sinless Christ as a Prostitute. There is no such thing as either a “Carnal Christian” or a “Spiritual Prostitute” for if that could be possible then there must be a “Heavenly Devil”. Anytime a Christian allows sin to have a part in any way, they are selling Christ for just a cheap fling with the flesh. Christ will not be a part of that. He let us drive the nails in His hands one time before and gave us forgiveness, but He doesn’t have to when we crucify Him afresh over and over. If we allow Christ’s life in us to become just a cheap salvation in us, if we desire the wants, and the “fun” of this world more than walking with Him, then we are “Carnal Christians” and that is the same thing as a “Heavenly Devil” for they will both end up at the same place in the end. Listen, beloved, Hell aint worth it. We must lay down our thoughts of life, and follow His plan. We must die, so He can live. Don’t be a hell bound Christian. Give up your carnal wants, and let His will be performed through you. Don’t die with the Carnal Christians and the Heavenly Devils, die to flesh and live through Christ.
