More Than A Conqueror

A muscle man, 6ft 4inches tall, 220lbs, jumped in the ring ready to fight His opponent. Finally after one powerful blow to the side of the opponents head, the opponent fell down and lay in the middle of the ring. Broken teeth lay next to the blood coming from the man’s face. The crowd went wild, for this man lying on the ground was seemingly undefeated before this day. The winning opponent still in the ring, placed his foot on the man’s neck, and whispered… “It is finished. You will not win another fight by your strength. You will never defeat another soul in this ring, unless they are cowards and are scared of your scares from this fight. I have broken your teeth, defeated your plans of victory. You are finished.” Then the winning fighter goes home, after receiving the cash for defeating the opponent, and a 5ft 1inch wife comes over to the mighty conqueror and looks him in the eyes, smiles, and takes the cash from his pocket and sticks it in her purse. The mighty conqueror just smiles and shrugs His shoulders, understanding his large sum of money is gone he says, “Honey… I am indeed a conqueror! It was my strength that defeated the enemy. It was all because the agony I went through that this enemy opponent was brought under my feet. It is my life that went through the pain to win. That money is by all rights mine, for I am the conqueror. But you… you never did one thing to defeat this enemy. You never had to go through the physical pain I went through to obtain the prize. Yeah I am the true conqueror, but, Sweetie… you are more than a conqueror!”


Beloved, Christ is that Mighty Conqueror! At the cross, the devil seemed to be undefeated, but at the empty tomb Christ landed the final blow! God the Father placed everything under the feet of Christ! Beloved, we are the body of Christ, and the Bride of Christ. Everything that He has done has obtained for us the great prize of not only eternal life, but living a life above flesh. If God placed everything under the feet of Christ, and we are made the body of Christ then that means God placed everything under our feet also, but only if we are living in the fullness of Christ. Beloved, let us grasp Romans 8:37, for “in all things we are made more than conquerors through Him that loved us.” Let us realize that Christ has won the battle, we can live in the fullness of Life. We can now live above the reproach of this fleshly world, and in His Heavenly sphere. Let us claim this prize which Christ’s victory brought to us. Let us live in His love for us, as more than a Conqueror. Not that we are any greater than Christ, but it is from His deep love for us, and His Grace! Hear me, dear bride of Christ, obtain oneness with Christ and claim the prize of the Conqueror… and live life in the love of Christ as “more than a Conqueror.”
