The God in You

Acts 14:8-12, “And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.”

Here we have a perfect example of what the Church is to be today. Have we fallen from such high ranks, beloved? I mean, two men go to preach the Gospel of Christ and while preaching one looks to a certain man that has been cripple all of his life, and Paul seeing that the man had faith enough to walk, spoke Gods word, and the man walked. The whole town was turned upside down, and truly believed that their false gods had come down in human flesh and was dwelling among them. What an amazing thought! I want to present to you that these pagans wasn’t all that far off when they assumed the gods had come down in flesh. But, I also want to present to you that it wasn’t Zeus, it wasn’t Hermes, it wasn’t Jupiter, and it wasn’t Mercurius, no! But it was the King of Kings, the Lord of All Lords, the First and the Last, the Almighty Son of the True Living God. It was Christ Jesus! The one who died, but arose on the third day, the one who made the lamb to walk, the deaf to hear, the blind to see… I’m talking about Jesus, the Great I Am!! Beloved, Christ had come to these pagan people through Paul. Although Christ is seated at the Right Hand of God the Father, He is made alive and working through us (His Body), by being continually filled with His Holy Spirit. These Book of Acts Preachers was the temple of the Living God and by this continually walking within the Holy Spirit their every move became the literal move of God. They was so totally controlled by the Holy Spirit that their presence was the presence of God Almighty. Beloved, is this how your life is today? Is your ever word the words of God Almighty? Is your life the literal life of God? We must once more return to this place, where “for me to live is Christ.” We are to be so filled with God that our words become Life to this dead world; our life brings the literal Life of God wherever we go. Beloved, is towns turned upside down, people shouting “what must I do to be saved”, are you so filled with the Holy Spirit that people say, “God has come down in flesh through that person”? Do note, it won’t be that you are God, but that God is being made alive through you. So I ask, is your life making a difference? Can this world see… the God in you?
