Ever noticed how trash collects up so fast? I mean just by going through the everyday life we collect so much trash. It seems that with our family we take one bag out to the dumpster, only to turn around and have another bag awaiting us. A few days back, we were staying at a camp ground in the motor home, we had been there for a while, but we couldn’t find a trash can. So as our trash was growing, so was the stench along with it. We couldn’t just set it outside, for the cats and wild animals would be into it, and have it strolled all over the yard. Finally we found a can, and the oddly enough, when we threw the trash away, the stench left right along with it.
Beloved, we are the house of God. God Almighty lives within in the body of a Born Again believer, and where He lives, must be kept Holy. Dear soul, God will not stay in a temple where the trash of sin is allowed to linger. Over the course of our lives, oftentimes we collect some extra trash that God never birthed in our lives, and by no means wants there. If this is where you are today, let me tell you a simple loving word… take the trash out. That stink of sin has made the temple of your body reek with the odors of flesh. God loves you so greatly, beloved. Through all His love for you, through the giving of His only Son for you, though He longs to dwell in your life, He cannot live in the sin filled life. Only after you come back to the reality that God cannot live in your house filled with trash, and only after you take the trash out making room once more for the King only, you will be made to live again. Don’t just merely set it outside the door of your heart, but take it to the dump. God will give you strength, but you first must let Him help you. Beloved, hear me… and take the trash out.
