In the last writing we discussed “The Necessity of Having a Vision” and coming to the understanding that without a vision of Christ given to us by the Holy Spirit through the word, we will loosen our grip and compromise which is in essence to backslide. Today I would like to talk about how this vision is to be made real in us and not just seen by us.
We must take note of our present surroundings in the spiritual sense and determine whether or not we are being shaped to the vision we now see of Christ, or are we still living life our way. We realize that we must have a sight of who this Christ is, and we realize that we must be conformed to how we now know and see Him, but the huge question arises at this point… “How can I be conformed to who I see He is?” Beloved, the vision of Christ is formed in us through the fiery trials we are brought through by the help of the Holy Spirit. This is why we must be thankful for every trial we go through. On the victory side of the trial we can look back many years down the road and say, “I almost went down there! It was the biggest storm of my life, the hottest fire I had been in… I was on my way to death I thought, but He brought me through and was formed firmer in me than I had ever known Him before.” See, dear soul, it is through the fire that we are conformed to the vision the Holy Spirit has given us of Christ through the word. We meet Him in the bible as Faithful… through the trial He is formed as Faithful in us. Then when He is formed as Faithful in us He can be known as Faithful through us. Amen! We must realize that God only puts us through the fire so that “Christ may be formed” in us and our flesh may burn away to nothing. Now let us rejoice through these fiery trials realizing that the Holy Spirit is conforming our life to the Christ we have come to see in the word. So hold on, keep praising, and allow Him to do His work in you.
