Having A Vision Is A Necessity

“Where there is no vision, the people perish” is not speaking of our Church growth programs but is speaking to people that walk with God. The word vision simply means “sight” where there is no vision in our life there is no sight and we are blind. We must have a vision of Christ given by the Holy Spirit through the word. This is why it is so very necessary for us to apprehend a vision of Christ. The born again man that does not have a revelation of Christ through the word will not be a born again man very long. Now I am not speaking of some dream of which He is that you get in the middle of the night but I am speaking of a direct vision found from the word of God. One cannot read the bible very long without coming to see Christ. We must see Him as He is in the word for “As He is so are we in this world.” Now the scripture says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” and that word parish simply means “loosen” so understanding that we see that this Christian life must not be a relaxed life. To not have a vision of Christ will lead the believer to a place of letting go and taking it easy. We call this compromise. Understand that to loosen our grip on the Christian life means we will die for we are in the act of backsliding. We must have a vision of Christ! We must come to know Him and see Him! The more we walk with Him the greater He will reveal Himself to us because the more we will die to flesh and come near to Him. If you don’t see Christ in His love, holiness, overcoming power ext. then pray and read until the Holy Spirit reveals Him to you from the word. This is a demanding place in the Christian life, because if we do not see Him then we will never know who we are becoming in Him for God the Holy Ghost is progressively molding us to Christ’s image and nature. Get a vision of Christ or else perish with the sinners.
