War Must Be Now

Jude 3-4, “Beloved… it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”


If there has ever been a time to fight it is now. This is the last hour of the Church, and many “men have crept in unawares” today simply because we have been asleep on the pews. We have allowed our hearts to stop fighting the enemy, and we have begun to fight our brothers in the Lord. Let us “contend for the faith” that we once heard and believed! Let us stand up for the Word of God in this last hour, laying all selfish cares aside and let us “press toward the mark of the High calling” one more time. Christ could come back anytime He wants, but I do believe that before He does the Church must unify once more in this Spiritual warfare and stand up and one last time become the true Church. “Ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered into the saints” right now! Contend just simply means to war, wrestle and struggle. Let us war one last time!

When you read the history on the writing of the book of Jude you will find he was writing because these “certain men” was their preachers that had begun to teach “doctrines of devils” and had begun to turn “the Grace of our God into lasciviousness” simply meaning that they had backslid and was preaching it was okay for them to continue living in their backslid state, for Grace was bigger than their sin. O yes Gods Grace is so much bigger, but when you preach Grace without Sanctification being a hand in hand work of Salvation, saying that Gods Grace will allow you to still drink a little beer, smoke cigarettes, tell nasty jokes, use drugs and on and on, then you are teaching a doctrine of the devil and a “seducing spirit” is what you have, not the Holy Spirit. Jude gets wind of these men that were preaching the “take it easy” gospel, and he writes out of Spirit-led guidance simply saying, “Open your eyes and see that you are holding to the devils message! You can’t get to heaven with known sin that you will not conquer in your life. Get up! Get over it! Get out! It is now time to war for the faith! Our warfare isn’t by weapons of this world; our warfare is won by God in us being Himself through us. This life is produced by praying, fasting, studying, and coming to know God deeper. It is time to war! It is time to fight this good fight of faith with uncompromising grit through the Spirit-filled, and Spirit-led life. Let us now contend for the faith that has once been delivered to the saints. Let us war now, or else this Christ will not have a Church to come back for.”
