And God Said

Genesis 1:3, “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
1:6-7, “And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.”
1:9, “And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.”
1:11, “And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.”
1:14-15, “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.”
1:20, “And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven."
1:24, “And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.”
1:26, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…”

We all know the story of the spoken Creation. The Father thought a thought, the Son spoke the thought as the Word, and the Holy Ghost worked that spoken thought into being. Beloved, everything Christ says comes right from the mind of the Father, and everything that comes from the Being of the Father is worked through the Holy Spirit. Do take note above, in our text, everything that He spoke “was so”.

Weary Christian… the Word tells me, “At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:25-30.

He who spoke the Worlds into being, has spoken His being into all that will simply come to Him, and allow the Holy Spirit to work the thought of the Father that was spoken by the Son so many years ago. Just come believing that He who said… “Let there be light” will cause the Holy Spirit by Divine Command to work His spoken Word in you and for you. Just look at the Light… and believe in “and God said…” and find rest in taking His yoke upon you.
