My Righteousness

Ephesians 6:14, “and having on the breastplate of righteousness.”

Are you made righteous by your doing and not doing certain things? Is that really what true righteousness is? No, beloved, true righteousness is the literal nature of Christ. A man can never be righteous without the Life of Christ being lived through him. Righteousness is an attribute of God.

Beloved, if we think that the breastplate of righteousness is anything that we do, we are badly mistaken. There is no righteous but God. The word tell us in Romans 3:23-24, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”

It is by our believing and obeying His will, us coming to the death of our flesh so He can live through us, that is righteousness. The breastplate of righteousness literally speaks of us having the literal Life of Christ as the vital organ guard. When Christ is covering us, no other weapon can penetrate through His Being. Put on Christ, learn Him as the breastplate of Righteousness, for we can never be righteous in ourselves.
