What Is The Bible

Ephesians 6:17, “…and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”


What really is the “word of God” that is to be “the sword of the Spirit”? Any bible student would simply say that this verse is referring to the bible. This verse does in fact speak of the bible, but what is the bible? Of three years of learning, studying, sleeping and eating with my bible… I have come to realize the fullness of the bible. I don’t know every verse… but I do know the Author. Beloved, the bible is simply a written revelation of the Divine Trinity. If we could take a wall and somehow paint the bible as a single portrait, in that portrait would be seen Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Through all the stories of the patriarchs, to the prophets, to the gospels and through all the epistle’s clean through Revelation… it is God mirrored as Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Three Beings forming one Triune Godhead. It is God the Father, reveling God the Son… through God the Holy Ghost. Beloved, Christ must be all… the sword of the Spirit is the word of God which is simply the revelation, sanctification, and manifestation that is worked in us by our being conformed to the Life of the bible. When Christ’s Life is our only defense, we can take the written revelation we know as the bible, and die to our flesh so the God of the bible can represent His very Being through our lives… and through the Holy Spirit in faith we can say, “Satan, behold… it is written!” Every time we say these words in true faith through the Holy Spirit, we are in essence saying “devil… meet God! I am not governed by my own precepts and ideologies… it is written! I am not living a life that is my own… it is written! I will not be moved to the left or the right… it is written! Christ is the Word… the Word was with God and the Word was God, and He is the Word written being spoken through me now… so get thee behind me devil for it is written… Christ is All, and He will be that in me!” Beloved, the bible is the most powerful battle tool we can have if we are living in the Spirit-filled, Spirit-governed Life. Why? Because when we live in the bible… we are living in the Life of God, and “no weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.” Simply because He is your Life… and He never has known defeat. Amen!
