When Love Died

O such a splendid Love we enjoy with the Master. Love is not a mere feeling or sense of expression. Love is not a certain phrase of words spoken. The fullest definition of Love was truly never known until Christ’s coming. “For God So Loved… that He gave His only begotten Son…” Love is Life… God is Love.

No man could know Love until Christ came to this earth. Love in the Old Testament was Righteousness… Love in the New Testament was one that God had to create through the action of death.

Love took His place amongst the lifeless, given the liberating call “Come unto me all ye…”. Love found His position making the blind to See His Face, making the deaf to Hear His Voice. Love readily placed Himself in the arena of the weak, allowing the speechless tongue to Praise His Name and the crippled legs Run His Race. Love said “Live” and the dead was caused to burst from the grave. But the greatest fulfillment of the Life in Action called Love was when He took His place with the thieves, let His Blood be shed for you and me. When they drove the nails in His hands and feet. When He cried… “It Is Finished…” and hung His head and gave up the Ghost. Beloved, His death and resurrection brought a new meaning to our term love. See… when Love died… He birthed Grace for all humanity. Humble yourself before Him today… and be thankful for the hour that Love died while birthing the Grace (the undeserved Love and Favor of God) that saved you.
