The Ascending Life
This Christian journey, though it may have many twist’s and turns, many valleys and obstacles, it is an ever rising road. As we walk the Christian road though we may be in a valley we are ever ascending upward with each step, moving further from the world and nearer to the Kingdom. We are not to just be waiting for the rapture of the Church, but we are to be continually raptured as we walk closer to Christ, until one day we are simply raptured in body as well. To “draw nigh unto God” means that we will have to live the ascending life by sentencing our flesh to continual death, for God does not save us to stoop to our level, but rather to bring us to His. Let us keep ascending through prayer, fasting, bible study and obedience to being led by the Holy Spirit. Let us rise a little higher in the Lord today, moving a little closer to Him.

That is so true. I've never thought of it that way. I'm thankful the we are walking up to God's kingdom. When people say they're going through a trial they really are going through. They think they're stuck but they aren't. They're going through. Every step you take you're getting closer to the top.
