The Partial Misconception Of Grace

The undeserved Love and favor of God is one of the greatest thoughts the human finite mind can even dare fathom. The unregenerate man can never even begin to comprehend the joy of serving Christ because he hasn’t allowed the Holy Spirit to reveal to his life God as Grace. Grace isn’t just a deed God does, but Grace is the literal nature of God.

Most of the time we allow Grace to become to us a “use only when needed” prescription, but to do this is in essence saying that we only need part of God. Remember, Grace is His nature… not just an act, so to do that we paint the portrait of self-reliance and God has no part of yourself. Grace must be a continual working in us by the Holy Spirit.

I was in prayer this morning about some situations that come my way, and it just really took root what God really means for us to obtain in giving us Himself as Grace. He made me understand that Grace isn’t just the act of picking us up when we fall… but Grace is God keeping us from falling. Most of us never ask God to give us Grace in that sense. Beloved, God doesn’t just want to wait until we fall before He shows Himself. God desires to keep us from falling. That is true Grace for the claiming! Let us this day not only seek Grace when we fail… but when we fill as if we don’t need it, for that is why we fall in the first place.

Prayer- Father, in the name and nature of Your Son Jesus, I come before You this day with a humble heart of praise. I love You Lord and I thank You for Your working with, and in me. I ask that You not only reveal this great part of Your Being to my life but also the lives of those that read this writing. I ask that You not just bring it to our understanding, but make it a settled work within us. I ask You this day to uphold me by Your marvelous Grace when times of temptation and struggle comes my way. I ask that You will keep me from falling. I know You desire this, and now I accept it by faith in asking. Thank You Father. In the name above every name, Jesus Christ, I ask believing… amen.
