You Are My King

“You’re more than the words on a page I read. You’re more than my hands raised on Sunday. You’re more than the tears falling down my face… You are my King.
You’re more than the place I stand and praise. You’re more than just a religious phase. You’re more than I can estimate... You are my King.

You’re more than Mary’s baby Lamb. You’re more than just a helping hand. You’re more than who I am… You are my King.
You’re more than tongue or pen can tell. You’re more than an easy way from hell. You’re more than I have ever felt… You are my King.”

These are some words the Lord has recently given me to worship Him with in song. Many times we portray Christ as a God of religion. We make Him fit the box of our orthodox imagination and creed of personal interpretation of Christianity. Beloved, I have found out that God is only as big as you allow Him to be. One thing we must understand is that, in order to truly know Him as All Sufficient Savior, we must know Him as total dominating King. It is by our continually coming to know Him as King of our every move that we are truly saved. See, the more we die so that He may rule and reign us with His Kingship the more the work of Salvation is performed within us. We are saved and all the while continually being saved as we conform our lives to death so that He who is Life may govern us all the way to the rapture and the glorified body. When that stops is when we have backslid. We are to be moving on from glory to glory by allowing Him to be literally our force of motion called Life. In order to do that we must come to know Him as King. Not just King of all Kings…not just Lord of all Lords… but our King and our Lord. He must be that dominating and all determining force in our lives greater as we walk and conform our lives to His. Beloved, He is more than you are allowing Him to be… let Him be King in all points.
