Unity Is A Necessity
Last week I felt led to read the book of Nehemiah, and I hadn’t ever realized before that the ruins of the Jerusalem wall was rebuilt in totality in just somewhere around 52 days. As I read the story of these walls being rebuilt, I began to see how that Nehemiah was a wise man of God. He would give people a task to do and everyone had to work together, neighbor by neighbor, brother by brother. As I read along I seen the call of the Church. My God, if we would just be the true Church fitly joined together in unity, we could one more time see revival and restoration before the second coming of Christ. Nehemiah would assign everyone a job and their whole life depended upon them finishing their task. Beloved, Christ has given you a job, and if you leave behind the task unfinished, you could ruin the souls of many, leaving a gap in the wall open for the enemy to plunge through. If God has called you to fix the toilets or to preach it is as equally important for the rebuilding of the wall. We must find our place in God and be continent but always desiring more of Him at the same time. If you cant work with your brother in the Church don’t expect to be going to Heaven. Unity amongst the brethren is a necessity. We have to learn that loving the Lord our God with all of our heart, soul, mind, body and strength is the very most important focus of our life, but we must not forget that in order to do that we must love our brothers as ourselves. When Nehemiah came on the scene He came not only to rebuild the walls but to bring the nation back to right fellowship with God. He came in with the sure word of God and He left a nation with revival. Beloved, let us hear from God, find our place and work together as the true Church, and let us see revival one last time.
