In His Name

When we are being led by God, we soon find He requires Humility. Humility is what leads us to Obedience, and Obedience is what leads us to Faith, and Faith always leads us directly to God. Of course we know that everything in the Christian life is because of Grace, so that is the foundation of our work as well.

God leads us, and when we humble ourselves to His leading, following Him, He will always lead us to the same place.

“… He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS name’s sake.” Psalms 23:3.
Romans 8:28-29, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son…”

As we walk with God, everything He does within us is to bring us to the image of His Son. He brings us to the place where we are living in His name. When we become born again, we totally lose the title of our name. Just as a bride takes the name of her husband, so do we take upon us the name of Christ. God has to continually lead us in His paths to keep us living in the name of Christ. See, to live in the name of Christ literally means to live in His nature. God leads us down His paths, to bring us to His nature. Are you found in His name today?
