I was a hopeless case when I first met the Son of Man. Leprosy covered my body from head to toe. I had heard the name of Jesus many times becoming famed throughout the land as a Man sent in the power of God. So one day I set out of the leper camp against the desire of my co-dwellers, but I had to find this Jesus I had heard so much about! “What if He is the Son of God?! What if He can make me whole?” the thoughts of hope raced through my mind! With every step I took in search of Him I felt joy of being healed! “I believe if I could just get close enough for Him to hear my voice… I could be made free from this disease!!” I said to myself. As I glanced up from the path I seen a group of twelve or thirteen people in the distance. I picked up the pace somewhat because I had heard that when He was away from the multitudes He taught a few hand picked followers. “Could this be Him?! Could this be the day that I be made whole?! What He refuses to hear me? What if I fail to say the right words?” The desires of freedom from shame and pain elated my heart as I began to run! “It is Him!!” I said to myself as I came closer to view! I ran with all of my might to fall at His feet!! “LORD!!! IF YOU WILL… YOU CAN MAKE ME WHOLE!!!” I cried from my downcast position. The silence seemed to be forever before He spoke back to me. But with love and moved with compassion He tenderly spoke to me, “I will… be made whole.” And instantly the leprosy departed from me and I was completely made whole. He exchanged my garment of shame for a garment of Praise! And I stand here today as a testimony of the Lord’s compassion! He loves you too. Consider Jesus as the compassionate Savior. Halleluiah!!
