Title: Little Love
Dear Christian,
Oft times we become entangled in devising our plans of life and the love for our Savior gradually slips away. As we build and toil in a life called “ours” we suddenly look up expecting to see Jesus and to our amazement He is just at eyes dim view. We ransack the corridors of our heart searching for anything in hopes of bringing His life near us once more. We pray, pleading for His return to us but only out of fear, for eternal death in hell weighs upon our minds far greater than the hurting heart of our Beloved. Finally we stumble upon a memory filed away nice and neatly in the cold case compartment of our lives entitled “love”. Searching for any hope we examine this file closer and find that there is only a small portion held within. But as we remember those tender moments we once shared with Christ we began to miss this thing called love. Examining the “love” we see that all that is truly missing is our heart. And, beloved, you don’t have to have some magnificent love to give Christ if you have strayed away a bit too far. No. ALL HE REQUIRES IS ALL YOU HAVE. So take your little love and put your heart into it and as you seek Him once more you will find Him. He promised! “Come near to God... and He will come even nearer to you.”
In Christ,
Buddy Riddell
